There are many arguments for pursuing a healthy lifestyle. A healthy diet and sufficient exercise prevent many physical discomforts such as obesity,  certain types of cancer, osteoporosis (bone loss), arteriosclerosis, cardiovascular diseases, and high blood pressure. You also reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes and even the chance of depression. But how do you achieve that healthy lifestyle? In other words, how do you handle it?

How do you achieve a healthy lifestyle?

In order to maintain a healthy lifestyle and maintain a healthy weight, you will break through a number of patterns. So it is a question of ‘doing’. That is why a healthy lifestyle consists mainly of healthy doing.

There is no pill, powder, diet, drink or whatever, so you realize sustainable results in the area of weight loss, health and fitness in a short time and effortlessly.


So there is no easy way. Achieving sustainable results in terms of your health, weight and fitness costs time, discipline and perseverance. Of course, there are a lot of products that promise you a quick fix.

You know them, those products that claim that you ‘Easily waste 10 kilos’ and ‘Now even healthier’. Let us focus on developing a healthy lifestyle and not on those quick fixes.

What is a healthy lifestyle?

A healthy lifestyle consists of 3 pillars:

  • Enough movement
  • Healthy food
  • Mental well-being

You can work on a healthy lifestyle every day. You do not have to spend hours doing it, it is more a matter of a number of changes in your diet and exercise pattern. If you do that, you will soon notice some physical changes.

For example, you become slimmer, fitter and you lose your weight. Also improves your overall condition, your body can handle more.

What you initially notice less is the mental change that you go through. In fact, all sorts of processes take place in your brain. Your brain creates new neurological patterns. That is because you have started thinking and acting differently.

It has now been shown that the Western diet and exercise pattern is unhealthy. The Western consumption and exercise pattern stands in the way of a healthy lifestyle.
